I was commissioned to create a mural for Cellar, a restaurant and bar in Hammersmith.
This was a commission based on my 99 Bottles of Beer piece from a few years ago that featured 99 made up craft beer brands and bottles. This new one is positioned behind the curved hero banquette that greets you on entry, the mural showcases shelves of fictional bottles — from quirky craft beers to vintage wines and small-batch spirits. Full of local in-jokes and hidden meanings, the piece is peppered with Easter eggs for regulars and members of Kindred, the club above. Some bottles nod to Bradmore House’s Georgian heritage, others to Hammersmith itself or the story behind Cellar. Even founder Anna Anderson’s dog, Chutney, gets his own label — a signature Chardonnay.
